Quidditch World Cup North Myrtle Beach April 5-6

Quidditch is played at over 300 universities and high schools throughout North America, Australia and Europe. The IQA (International Quidditch Association) is the governing body for the sport of Muggle Quidditch. It was founded as the Intercollegiate Quidditch Association in 2007 following the very first intercollegiate Quidditch match Many people are already aware that the seventh annual Quidditch World Cup will be held on April 5-6, 2014 in North Myrtle Beach. For those that are not familiar with the game of Quidditch the sport might seem a little awkward. If you are a fan of the Harry Potter books and movies the Quidditch World Cup held in North Myrtle Beach SC is a dream come true. My kids have grown up with the Harry Potter series of books and movies. We spent a few evenings at the midnight book releases and midnight movie shows. We have been to Universal Studios on the opening week the Harry Potter Park opened. Two of my kids are presently at different Colleges and are both on their schools Quidditch teams. While my kids will not be riding their brooms in the competition, they are looking forward to volunteering their time so that everyone will enjoy the event in North Myrtle Beach SC. If you have an interest in participating as a volunteer it's not too late. I do hope to post some videos of the event for all the Qudditch fans that are not able to attend this event. For those that have never been to the Myrtle Beach SC area it could be the perfect excuse to attend. Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach SC have many reasonably priced hotels and condos. The Quiditch event will be held about 5 miles from the beach and 20 minutes from the MYR Airport.
